I'm not sure that we actually learned much here this week other than there are lots of other things that could explain away some of his symptoms and he doesn't have any of those.
Meanwhile we'll be following up with his Chicago doctor when we get home. I wish I could say that our experience here at the Mayo was a good one but I'm afraid we all found it rather frustrating and dismissive.

Sorry to hear you didn't learn more -- the Mayo has such a great reputation that you might have hoped for better. I don't know what else to say except we are thinking of you guys and wish you the best in your search for answers.
While you learned what Shawn doesn't have, it is frustrating to leave without a clear idea of what needs fixing. I pray that your answers come soon and that your healing begins. Thinking of you...
